Chad Varah

It is with great sadness that we have learnt of the death of our Chad Varah, CH, CBE, MA Oxon., aged 95.

Chad was the Rector of St Stephen Walbrook, our physical home, for more than 50 years, and the place from where he launched the pioneering ministry that became the Samaritans, and later Befrienders Worldwide.

Our thoughts today are with Chad's family and many friends.

A Requiem of Thanksgiving for Chad's life will bge held at St Stephen Walbrook on Thursday 15th November at 12.45pm. All are welcome.
